Instructions for using the Rother District Council web-based consultation system    

Searching for representations made on consultation documents:

You do not need to register/log-in to view comments made on previous consultations.

To search for representations in the documents, first go to the document you wish to view comments on, click on the relevant chapter you wish to view (or scroll down the page), then look for the icons shown below:

Questions are highlighted in lilac with a grey border
Policies are highlighted in blue with a grey border
Objectives are highlighted in green with a grey border

View Click this icon to view representations.
View Disabled Indicates that no other representations have been made on this question/policy.

Registering/logging in:

The website provides an interactive means to submit representations on the Local Plan during specific public consultation periods only.  

You must login in order to make a representation.

New users must register your details with the Council by clicking on the Register now link at the top of this page and filling in the registration form. In order to register, you will need to give us your name, email address, and postal address. This will enable us to contact you to confirm that your representation has been received. An automatically generated email will be sent to you confirming your login details.

Previously made comments on previous consultations?

If you have made comments during previous consultations and you provided a contact email address, this will already be entered in the consultation system and a profile created for you. You do not need to register as a new user, simply contact us to allow you online access to your profile.

If you have previously registered, you already have a profile set up and you can simply login using the same email and password.

Forgotten your password?

If you forget your password simply click on the Request a new password link at the top of this page, enter your email address and you will receive an email with a temporary code to unlock your account and reset your password. If any of your personal details or email address change you can amend them once you login by clicking on My Details.

Making a representation (note: you are only able to make representations when there is a live consultation):

You must login in order to make a representation.

There are a number of steps that must be taken to make a representation using the online form:

  1. Once you login, in order to submit your representation you will need to select the document you are interested in from the list of documents currently open for public consultation and then select the relevant chapter, paragraph or policy.

  2. Click on the following icon: Write to view the online response form that will allow you to submit representations.
    To view any representations that have been made, click on the following icon: View.
    (Note: Representations are processed when the actual consultation ends and not before, only representations processed will be available to view.)
